Welcome to Absolute Corruption

In a way, it's sad to welcome you to a site dealing with corruption in government and abuse of power. It's sad that any of us have ever been in such a position, but it happens every day.

First off, this site is brand new. I've debated for years about putting it up, but finally I heard yet one more story and it was, as they say, the straw that broke the camel's back.

This site is dedicated to exposing issues of abuse of power by government and other public service officials, most notably the State of Maine Department of Human Services Child Protective Division.

This stems from my own personal experiences with DHS, and years of hearing stories from friends and strangers. These often unbelievable stories are tales of discrimination, abuse, and the breaking of laws.

This site is in its infancy. I invite anyone who has been victim of abuse of power by government officials, or who has experienced any sort of corruption within the government, to contact me and help build this site.

Why the menu?
I've been asked about the odd menu design to the left. From a graphic design point of view, it's wide, deep, and cumbersome. The blocks are off-kilter--slid to the left and right, front and back, balanced precariously--the whole thing looks like its ready to topple over.

In my view, the Department of Human Services--and the system in general--is a lot like this menu. It too is wide, deep, and cumbersome, insofar as it is "Big Brother," huge and without exterior control. And it, too, is off-kilter, much like a stack of unsure blocks. It may seem like a towering brick wall--insurmountable, impassable, rock-solid--but it isn't. This is an illusion. They don't work together and aren't truly interested in the overall benefit of the system--the officers of DHS are often working for their own hidden agendas, and that's no way to run a railroad. So, it looks like a brick wall, but the bricks are a lot like the menu to the left: start pushing, and the whole thing will come crashing down.

The message: the brick wall needs to be brought down. Major reform is needed. We can make it happen.
