| About This Site
This site is a personal project of mine,
dedicated to several ideals:
- Atheism
-
Freedom of and from religion
- Separation of state and church
- My desire to help "closet Atheists"
come
out of the closet
- My hope of educating people that while religion
may be fun, it's just plain silly
- Working to eradicate
the deliberate
surrendering of common sense. Over millions of years, our
brains have evolved into highly-developed thinking machines complete with
consciousness, intelligence, and common sense. For any of us to ignore
such wondrous features in favor of living a life of self-induced ignorance
and self-imposed exile from logic and reason is very sad indeed.
Most Atheism sites stop short of admitting
#6, but most Atheists can empathize with it. To embrace science, logic,
and reason, yet not feel the need to eradicate the deliberate surrendering
of common sense, is a
contradiction. Like any Atheist, I can respect a non-Atheist's right to
believe in what he wishes... but that doesn't mean I have to respect the
beliefs beyond the fairy tales that they are.
