"Sometime during the week of July 23rd, a young lady named Elaine embarked on a seemingly innocent visit to sleep over at her friend's house.  Little did Elaine know that this simple one-night get-together with Liz would become the horrible hostage situation it now is -- and worse yet, little did she know her cries for help would fall on dead ears."

And so it was for Elaine when she visited her good friend armed with the usual sleeping gear for a teenage girl -- including her unsuspecting, helpless blue and white boxer shorts.  But now, those very shorts are STILL at Liz's house -- held captive by a crazed woman bent on causing Elaine and her shorts more misery than could be believed by the average human mind.

Law enforcement officials are unhearing -- or uncaring -- to do anything about this.  Elaine has no proof, they say.  She'll have to file a Forcible Entry and Detainer for Personal Property with the District Court, they say.  The main problem with this?  They are thinking of Elaine's shorts as property, something material; and while they are, indeed, made out of material... blue and white plaid, like we said... they are more than a simple possession of Elaine's.  They are part of her family.
