We had a long break between Weeks #3 and #4. First we had a week off due to the school vacation. Then I canceled class as I was dealing with an injured lower back and was unable to drive or teach, thanks to the medication the doctor had me on. For some of you, the break was even longer, as we had a record number of students who were out sick or who just didn't show up.

EXERCISES

Writing and editing. We learned the basics of using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word, and how to add Comments in Word. Then we spent the entire class proofing each other's stories. I read everyone's stories. Students were encouraged to use the Short Story Checklist available on this site while reading. If you don't have it, download it here.
