JavaScript Donkey Kong by Scott Porter
http://www.javascript-games.org/arcade/dkong/index.html

This is about the best-looking DK clone ever made. All four stages are faithfully reproduced. It's written in JavaScript, so it runs in your browser—and even supports a joystick.

However, I found it difficult to control. With the keyboard, the arrow keys are not used; rather, a series of letter keys are used, making it difficult to master left, right, up, down, and jump with two hands. With the joystick, it was just plain hard to handle (I'm guessing a joypad might be best). Maybe I'm just a clod.

It also seems to run somewhat fast. No, actually, it runs REALLY fast.

At any rate, do check this out. They don't come looking much better.
