This was first released as a more or less
"greatest hits" album. It's a collection of Meat Loaf's most popular songs--all from
Bat Out of
Hell, Dead Ringer, and
Midnight
at the Lost and Found. It was quickly chased with a
VHS tape (later
released as a DVD) containing the same tracks, only in music video form.
The audio release had the cover you see above; the VHS/DVD release
duplicated the famous BOOH cover art without any text overlay (the title
was in black at the top). Speaking of
the cover, this one is terrible. The picture is from the "biker zooming
through the graveyard" sequences from the music
video for "Bat Out of Hell."
It was terribly unimaginative, and reproducing the original BOOH art for
the VHS/DVD was a wise marketing move. |
