The classic cult movie to end all classic cult
movies. If you've never been to a live showing of it, you don't know what
you're missing. Even just watching it on TV is great, but if you can't
find a showing somewhere, get a bunch of friends together and download one
of the many versions of the audience participation scripts available on
the Internet--and have fun. But back
to Meat Loaf: really, the only song he sang in the movie, and thus on the
soundtrack, is "Hot Patootie,"
as he played Eddie. However, he was originally in the Roxy Theater stage
performance in L.A. prior to the movie, and also played Dr. Scott--and
thus sang "Eddie's Teddy" then as well. The cast of the stage performance
produced an album of the songs from their production--still available as
the Original Roxy Cast Album. |
