Ellen Foley
In case you didn't know, Ellen was the legendary voice behind the female parts on Paradiseyou know, the "Will you love me forever?" girl. She went on to a musical career of her own. She released three albums on Epic: Night Out in 1979, featuring Mick Ronson and Ian Hunter; Spirit of St. Louis in 1981, featuring Mick Jones of The Clash (who was her boyfriend at the time); and Another Breath in 1983.

In addition to her rock-history-making appearance on "Paradise," she has also been featured with artists like Joe Jackson, Blue Oyster Cult, The Clash, The Iron City Houserockers, Ian Hunter, the Sorrows, and others. She also taught musical theatre classes at New York City's famed HB Studios. She is an accomplished Broadway performer who has appeared in such diverse shows as Me and My Girl, Into the Woods, and Beehive.

She has an amazing voicevery powerful and cutting. On Meat Loaf and Friends, she's featured with three of her best performances:

  • "We Belong to the Night" is a tour de force of musical magic fitting of a Steinman tunebut it isn't!
  • "Night Out" is a great ballad.
  • "What's A Matter Baby" is a more popsy ballad about a woman whose man cheated on her, and now she's found out he's being cheated on by his new woman.
Ellen has also had a limited acting career, appearing in such well-known movies as Tootsie, Fatal Attraction, and Cocktail, and was Public Defender Billie Young in the smash hit TV sitcom Night Court. She only appeared in the role the first year (1984), after which Markie Post replaced her with a new character, Christine Sullivan.
